Lahore: In a distressing incident, a woman set herself ablaze in Lahore’s Cavalry Ground area. According to Punjab Police officials, the woman, who had been married to a man named Asif for eight years, committed the act in front of her ex-husband’s office.
She was swiftly transported to a hospital in critical condition for medical attention.
In another tragic incident, a woman in Faisalabad was allegedly set on fire by her tenant when she resisted his attempted rape. The incident occurred in the Dajkot area of Faisalabad, where the tenant, identified as Kashif, attempted to assault the woman upon finding her alone at home.

Neighbours reported that Kashif set the woman on fire when she resisted his advances. Following preliminary investigations, the police apprehended Kashif and initiated further inquiries into the matter.
The victim was rushed to Allied Hospital in critical condition due to severe burn injuries.
