Two dead, one injured as bus plunges into river in Gilgit

GILGIT: Two people lost their lives; one was seriously injured and four were missing after a vehicle carrying a wedding party fell into a river in Gilgit on Sunday.

The incident took place near Burdas Nagar.

Rescue 1122 sources said that there were 7 people in the ill-fated vehicle, the bodies of 2 people were recovered during the rescue operation.

All the people were returning after attending a wedding ceremony.

Rescue 1122 divers and local volunteers participated in the operation, which was ongoing till the filing of this report.
