U.S. Embassy Islamabad marks Eid-ul-Fitr with special video message

ISLAMABAD: In a warm and heartfelt video message for Eid ul-Fitr, Ms. Natalie Baker, Charge d’Affairs of the U.S. Embassy Islamabad, extended her best wishes to Muslims around the world.

Speaking in both English and Urdu, Ms. Baker offered a message of hope and unity as communities marked the end of Ramadan.

Opening her address with the traditional greeting “Salam O Alikum, and Eid Mubarak!” (السالم علیکم اور عید مبارک), she conveyed the U.S. government’s warmest regards.

Ms. Baker highlighted that Eid al-Fitr is a time for drawing inspiration from the virtues of fasting, prayer, and charity practiced during Ramadan.

Her remarks emphasized the United States’ deep commitment to religious freedom and the celebration of diversity, noting that the nation stands with millions of Muslims in America, Pakistan, and across the globe.

She expressed a renewed commitment to building a future of peace—one that recognizes the inherent dignity of every human being.

Concluding her message, Ms. Baker offered a heartfelt blessing:
“May God bless you and your families during this holy season and always. Eid Mubarak!”

This message serves as a reminder of the power of unity and the shared values that bring people together during one of the most significant celebrations in the Muslim calendar.
