LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has released the second selection list for college-wise admissions in 32 private-sector medical colleges in Punjab.
The second selection list for admission against the Open Merit & Overseas quota was shared based on joining reports received after the display of the First Selection List, dated February 06, 2025.
The list, available on the UHS website, includes candidates selected for 1,744 vacant MBBS seats. The minimum merit for MBBS admissions has dropped by 4.17% in the second selection phase for private medical colleges in the province.
The highest merit in the second selection list was recorded at 94.3672 in FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry in Lahore, while the Sahara Medical College had the minimum merit for MBBS admissions at 75.5682.
Guidelines for selected candidates
In order to secure admission, according to the notice issued by UHS, the newly selected candidates from the waiting list must submit the prescribed college fee before 5:00 PM on February 17.
“The candidates must submit a written Joining Report and Consent Form (available on the UHS Portal) at their respective colleges. This must be signed in the presence of the College Principal or Focal Person,” the notice mentioned.
In the Consent Form, candidates are required to indicate their choice, whether to retain their allocated seat in the same college or opt for upgradation as per merit and order of preference in the subsequent selection list.
According to the UHS notice, students who have been upgraded to different colleges must also report to their new institutions before the deadline.
To facilitate the transition, the fees of upgraded students will be transferred from their previous colleges to their newly allotted institutions. Candidates are advised to check the official UHS website for further details and to ensure timely compliance with admission requirements

Last week, the UHS announced the first selection list in private medical colleges. According to the merit list, the minimum closing merit was 79.7343%, recorded at Sahara Medical College in Narowal.
Sharif Medical and Dental College in Lahore closed the merit at 92.8939%, the highest among all, followed closely by Al-Aleem Medical College, Lahore, at 92.6455%.
