Uraan Pakistan launches Young Development Fellowship program

LAHORE: Uraan Pakistan has launched its flagship Young Development Fellowship (YDF) program, which is designed for young professionals who are interested in gaining practical experience in the field of public policy and national development.

Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 90,000 for a period of one year.

The Planning Commission is offering the program under the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan.

Its objective is to provide young people with structured practical experience in the field of development planning, public policy, reforms and innovation and to develop new leadership.

Under the Young Development Fellowship, selected candidates will work with senior policymakers and be directly involved in the policy-making process at the national level in public and private institutions.

The age of the candidate for the program should be between 21 and 30 years, and should have a Master’s degree or 16 years of professional education in a relevant field from a recognized university.

A minimum GPA of 3.2 is a mandatory requirement.

Young candidates from various fields will be eligible for this fellowship, including development and economics, finance and accounting, information technology, artificial intelligence, public policy and governance, energy, education and health, project management, data analytics, urban planning, water resources, infrastructure and construction, exports and trade and other development sectors.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted, and only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

No TA/DA will be given to any candidate.

Candidates should fill in the form available on the Planning Commission website (www.pc.gov.pk/web/career) and send it through courier.

The form must be submitted along with a CV and attested copies of educational certificates and other documents by 13th January 2026.

Officials have encouraged youth from across the country to participate in this fellowship, saying that the program provides an excellent opportunity to play a meaningful role in Pakistan’s development and gain professional experience.
