Weather alert: Thunderstorms, snow on mountains

ISLAMABAD: Due to strong winds and thunderstorms in the upper parts of the country and snowfall in the mountains: Travelers and tourists should arrange their travel according to the weather conditions (especially in the mountainous areas).

There is a possibility of damage to weak infrastructure due to wind/winds, hail and thunderstorms.

The weather is likely to remain dry in most parts of the country on Monday, while it is likely to remain cold in the mountainous areas.

On Tuesday, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir will remain cloudy, with strong winds/winds and thunderstorms and snowfall in the mountains. During this time, hail may also occur at a few places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab and Pothohar region. The weather is likely to remain dry in other central/southern parts of the country.

The weather of the last 24 hours was dry in most parts of the country while it was cold in the hilly areas. However, 22 mm of rain was recorded in Mithi. Smog prevailed in most districts of Punjab.

The minimum temperatures recorded today: Leh minus 03, Skardu minus 02, Babusar and Ziarat 00 degrees Celsius were recorded.

Tuesday (night): The weather is likely to remain dry and cold in Islamabad and its surroundings.

On Tuesday: In addition to cloudy weather, strong winds/wind and thundershowers are expected in Islamabad and its surroundings. During this time, hailstorm may also occur at a few places.
