LAHORE: Sui Northern Gas has issued a new gas load-shedding schedule for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A schedule from December to February grants consumers a chance to get gas in three intervals, allowing people to prepare their meals within these intervals.
In the new routine, the two provinces will receive gas from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM for breakfast, and from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. It will be supplied in the evening from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM to enable the consumers to cook dinner.
The officials had said there would be no load-shedding of the industrial sector, yet the gas demand increased considerably in winter. SNGPL explained further that gas is available in the system and there is no shortage. However, since gas is expensive, consumers should use it according to their needs.
