Woman seeking divorce from husband allegedly raped by own lawyer in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A woman who filed a divorce case from her husband in Rawalpindi was raped by her own lawyer, here on Monday.

As per the details, the victim woman has filed a case against the lawyer Advocate Iftikhar Hussain in Civil Line police station while teams have been formed to arrest the accused.

The complainant alleged that the lawyer sexually assaulted her on the pretext of marriage. She said that the accused first called her to the kitchen and forcibly raped her.

The alleged victim said that she had come in contact with Advocate Iftikhar regarding her divorce from her husband.

She said that the lawyer had promised to marry me after the divorce and he kept abusing her on the pretext of marriage in the Kecheri premises and at different places.

She alleged that the lawyer had not refused to marry her.
