MUMBAI: Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89.
According to Indian media, Dharmendra breathed his last on Monday at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. Several Bollywood actors and their families were seen arriving outside his residence in white clothes.
Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar also confirmed Dharmendra’s death on Instagram and paid tribute to him.
Indian media say that Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago due to breathing difficulties, while he also underwent eye surgery in April this year.
According to reports, Dharmendra last showed his acting skills in the film ‘Akis’, which is scheduled to release on December 25.
