Indian actor who has acted in more than 100 films dies in traffic accident

MUMBAI: Popular actor Santosh Nair of India’s Malayalam film industry lost his life in a traffic accident, while his wife was seriously injured in the accident.

According to Indian media, the incident took place on Wednesday morning in the state of Kerala, where Santosh Nair’s car collided with a lorry, resulting in injuries to him and his wife Subhasree.

Local police said that the actor suffered serious injuries in the accident and his chest hit the steering wheel of the car, due to which he could not survive, while his wife suffered fractures in her ribs, which are being treated in the hospital.

Indian media say that it is currently not clear whether his daughter was in the car at the time of the accident.

It should be noted that Santosh started his film career in 1982. During his long film career, he worked in more than 100 films. He also worked with star actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal.
