Pakistani drama actress Momina Iqbal continues to dominate headlines as the controversy surrounding her alleged dispute with politician Saqib Chadhar gains public attention. The latest development came after veteran writer Nasir Adeeb shared his views on the matter, adding a fresh layer to the ongoing debate.

The issue surfaced after Momina claimed that her former partner, PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar, had allegedly threatened her ahead of her upcoming wedding to Muhammad Hamza Habib, scheduled for June 1. According to the actress, attempts were being made to disrupt her marriage preparations.

On the other hand, Saqib Chadhar denied the allegations and stated that he was not harassing the actress. He claimed that he only wanted expensive gifts, reportedly worth Rs10 crore, returned after their relationship ended. The matter quickly became a hot topic on social media, where users appeared divided, although many supported Momina Iqbal.

Amid the controversy, Nasir Adeeb criticism of Momina Iqbal attracted significant online attention. Speaking about modern relationships, the veteran screenwriter said that people have the right to like or love someone, but relationships extending for years without marriage are becoming increasingly common and should be discouraged.

He further explained that families should be involved when serious relationships begin. Adeeb also remarked that if his own daughter, actress Zoya Nasir, had been involved in a similar situation, he would not have supported it either.

The remarks sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with the writer’s traditional perspective while others defended personal freedom and privacy in relationships.
