ISLAMABAD: Actor Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s mother Neelima Azeem talks about the difficulties and challenges faced by her single motherhood life. During the interaction in an interview, Neelima Azeem told about her failed marriage and her divorce. She also opens up about how her divorce affected her both kids Shahid and Ishan during their growing age.
Neelima Azeem married actor Pankaj Kapur in 1979 and moved to Mumbai shortly before Shahid Kapoor was born in 1981. Then in 1984 Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem got divorced. Neelima got married to Rajesh Khattar in 1990 and they welcomed their second child Ishan Khattar in 1995. Then both of them also separated in 2001.
Neelima Azeem opens up with India Today during an interview and said that both of her son’s Shahid Kapoor and Ishan Khattar faced a lot of challenges because her both marriages were failed. She also said By the way, all these things were of my past: which I would not like to talk about because now everything is fine. Ishaan and Shahid both faced many challenges in their life and faced ups and downs and even breakdowns at times.
Neliima has worked in several telefilms and TV shows, including the popular and critically acclaimed show, Saans in the 90s. During the same time, she was also working in films. Neliima has featured in movies such as Sadak, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro and Sooryavansham. She also essayed the role of Shahid Kapoor’s onscreen mom in his debut film Ishk Vishk.
