Petition filed against Saba Qamar for wearing police uniform

LAHORE: Actress Saba Qamar has been put in legal trouble for making a video wearing a police uniform, a petition has been filed in the sessions court to register a case against her.

The petition was filed by citizen Waseem Zawar through Advocate Mujaddid Bajwa, in which it has been taken a stand that Saba Qamar violated the law by wearing an SP uniform in a video.

According to the petitioner, wearing a police uniform is prohibited by law and this act not only affected the morale of the Punjab Police but also damaged the reputation of the institution. The petition said that the police were informed about this matter, but no action has been taken yet.

The sessions court has sought a report from the Old Anarkali police station after the initial hearing on the petition, while it has been requested that the court order a case to be registered against actress Saba Qamar.

Further action is expected after the court presents the police report at the next hearing.
