KARACHI: Renowned actress Anoushay Abbasi has finally confirmed her separation from her husband Anan Arif.

She revealed that their divorce was finalized in 2019, but she did not let it become public until her mother was alive.

Anoushay Abbas, who is known for her performance in the popular drama serial ‘Pyare Afzal’, married actor Anan Arif in 2014.

Their wedding pictures went viral on social media at that time. However, she has now revealed that the relationship lasted only five years.

The actress said that she hid the news of the divorce because her mother was seriously ill at the time. She did not want people to come and ask her about it and make her feel uncomfortable.

“I didn’t want to upset my mother while she was sick, that’s why I kept the news away from the media,” she said.

According to Anushay Abbasi, her wounds have healed with the passage of time, which is why she is now speaking openly about the matter.

She also mentioned the difficult period after her mother died in 2021, when the entire family supported each other. S

She said that her father died in 2012, and after her mother’s death, all the siblings became closer to each other, because that was what their parents wanted.
