MUMBAI: A year after the sudden death of Indian actress and television personality Shefali Zariwala, her husband Prag Tyagi’s shocking claim has brought the matter back into the headlines.

Shefali Zariwala, who rose to fame with the song Kaanta Laga and later appeared in various reality shows, passed away in June 2025.

At that time, doctors had declared the cause of death as cardiac arrest, and this is the official position till date.

However, speaking recently during a podcast, 50-year-old Prag Tyagi claimed that black magic could be behind Shefali’s death, and this is not just a suspicion but a belief based on personal experiences and feelings.

Prag Tyagi said that many people do not believe in these things, but I do. Where there is God, there is also Satan. I am sure that someone must have done black magic.

He added that I had a feeling that something was wrong. I had survived once, but this time it was more serious. Even during worship, I felt unusual changes in Shefali.

When I sit in devotion, I automatically feel that something is wrong, and this time the feeling was very strong. I can say with 100% certainty that someone must have done something.

It should be noted that medical experts are still sticking to the initial report and no new investigation or official action has been announced yet.

After Shefali’s death, Prag Tyagi has been open about his grief and memories. He often shares moments spent with Shefali on social media, including an emotional tribute on her 43rd birthday.
