ISLAMABAD: In a prestigious ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the esteemed Hilal-e-Imtiaz award upon Arshad Nadeem, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to sports.
This highest civilian honor recognizes Nadeem’s exceptional achievements on both national and international platforms, cementing his status as a distinguished Pakistani athlete.
The Indus Motor Company (IMC) presented Nadeem with a ‘Made in Pakistan’ Toyota Fortuner GRS, their top-of-the-line vehicle, at a ceremony held at their Karachi manufacturing facility. Prominent figures, including Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, attended the event.
Moreover, Meezan Bank honored Nadeem with a cheque for Rs 9,297,000, presented by President and CEO Irfan Siddiqui. The ceremony, attended by hundreds of bank employees, showcased the nation’s pride in Nadeem’s accomplishments.
Earlier, on August 8, Arshad Nadeem made the nation proud by securing the country’s first-ever medal in 32 years and a gold medal in 40 years.
He also etched his name in history books with a javelin throw of 92.97m which broke the previous Olympic record of 90.57m set by Norwegian Andreas Thorkildsen in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
To this day Arshad Nadeem is receiving gifts and awards for his outstanding performance in the Paris Olympics 2024, the nation feels proud of his achievements and gives him best wishes for the future.
