KARACHI: In a bid to recover huge unpaid payments, K-Electric disconnected power supply to Pakistan Railways offices, including City Railway Station and Railways colonies, due to unpaid dues exceeding Rs200 million.

This disconnection has impacted railway operations, with the booking office and engine loco shed affected.

In a separate crackdown, K-Electric, in collaboration with law enforcement, raided Jahangirabad and Jalalabad areas, uncovering significant power theft and illegal hydrants.

The operation seized 450 kg of illegal cables, used to steal over 5 lakh units of electricity in six months.

Moreover, as part of its “Kunda Removal Campaign,” K-Electric set up facilitation camps to provide consumers with convenient services and support. These initiatives aim to protect consumer interests, reduce line losses, and strengthen the integrity of K-Electric’s network.
