Asia Cup Super Four: Bangladesh thrills with 4-wicket win over Sri Lanka

DUBAI: In the first match of the Super Four stage in the Asia Cup T20 tournament, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 4 wickets.

In the first match of the Super Four stage of Group B in the Asia Cup T20 tournament played in Dubai, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field first against Sri Lanka.

Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 168 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

For Sri Lanka, Dasan Shanaka scored 63 not out. Kusal Mendis scored 34, Nissanka scored 22 and Asalanka scored 21 runs.

For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets.

Bangladesh achieved the target of 169 runs in the last over after an exciting match for the loss of 6 wickets.

It should be noted that Pakistan and India from Group A, while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh from Group B, have qualified for the Super Four stage.
