LAHORE: During the tour of Pakistan, the Australian cricket team started a campaign to make the bowling action of national spinner Usman Tariq suspicious.
According to sources, for this reason, Usman Tariq was not included in the third T20 match of the series.
In the second T20 match, Usman Tariq showed excellent bowling and took two important wickets, including Cameron Green. However, after being out, Cameron Green raised objections to Usman Tariq’s bowling action on the field, which further prolonged the matter.
After the incident, Usman Tariq reacted on social media and shared a story, in which he wrote with a picture of a crying child, “After being out?” This response went viral on social media and became a cause for discussion among cricket fans.
The matter did not end here, but the Australian media also gave Usman Tariq’s unique bowling action a place in the headlines, which some quarters have called an organized campaign.
It should be remembered that in the past, former Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal has also been the target of a similar campaign. Saeed Ajmal reacted strongly to this issue and demanded action against Cameron Green.
Saeed Ajmal said that Cameron Green’s reaction was regrettable and unprofessional. If there was any objection to Usman Tariq’s bowling action, it should have been raised before the ICC or the match referee. According to him, the match referee should have taken immediate action and strict action should be taken against Cameron Green so that no player in the future adopts such behavior on the field.
On the other hand, a leading Australian newspaper in its commentary has advised Australian cricketers to focus on their game instead of controversies.
