Australian team arrives in Pakistan ahead of volleyball series

ISLAMABAD: For the first time in history, the Australian volleyball team arrived in Pakistan on Sunday to play a three-match series against hosts Pakistan.

The team, led by Nehemiah Mote, arrived at the Islamabad International Airport where they were received by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation officials.

The Australian team will have a practice session and press conference on Monday. The first match between Pakistan and Australia will be played on May 28 at Liaquat Gymnasium, followed by the second match on May 29 and the third match on May 30.

Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob said that Murad Jahan will lead the national volleyball team against Australia.

He expressed happiness over hosting Australia for the first time and is hopeful of a strong performance against a strong team. He confirmed that all arrangements have been completed for the successful conduct of the volleyball series.
