Babar Azam achieves another T20 milestone

ISLAMABAD: In a remarkable display of skill and consistency, Pakistani cricket star Babar Azam achieved yet another milestone by becoming the fastest player to score 10,000 runs in Twenty20 (T20) cricket. The historic moment came during his innings for Peshawar Zalmi in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against the Karachi Kings at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Babar Azam accomplished this feat in just 271 innings, surpassing the previous record held by the renowned West Indies batsman Chris Gayle, who achieved the milestone in 285 innings. Following closely behind is India’s Virat Kohli, who reached 10,000 T20 runs in 299 innings.

Joining an elite group of cricketers, Babar Azam now stands alongside the likes of Chris Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard, Alex Hales, David Warner, Virat Kohli, Aaron Finch, Rohit Sharma, Jos Buttler, Colin Munro, James Vince, and David Miller, all of whom have also achieved the remarkable feat of scoring 10,000 runs in T20 cricket.

Babar Azam’s exceptional form is further highlighted by his achievement as the first player to score 3,000 runs in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), achieved during a match for Peshawar Zalmi against the Quetta Gladiators. His consistent brilliance continues to make him a standout performer in the world of cricket, earning admiration and accolades from fans and experts alike.
