Babar Azam bags lucrative contract in Big Bash League

SYDENY: Pakistan’s Star batter and former captain Babar Azam has secured a significant deal in the Big Bash League with Sydney Sixers in the upcoming edition, according to media reports.

The details of national cricketer Babar Azam’s contract with the Big Bash League team Sydney Sixers have been revealed.

According to sources, the Sydney Sixers have pre-signed Babar Azam by offering him compensation higher than the base prize, for which the Sydney Sixers will pay Babar about Rs 10 crores, nearly 100 million.

Sources say that the Sydney Sixers have picked Babar Azam in the Platinum category. The Platinum category for BBL overseas players has a base price of around PKR 7.75 crore.

With this contract, Babar Azam has become one of the most expensive players in the history of the BBL, as per the sources.

It should be noted that the Big Bash League will start in Australia from December 14, in which Babar Azam is participating for the first time.
