Babar Azam reflects on changes since 2017 Champions Trophy

DUBAI: Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam said that a lot has changed since the 2017 Champions Trophy, here on Tuesday.

According to a media release on the ICC website, Babar Azam expressed his excitement over hosting an ICC tournament in Pakistan after a long time, saying that both the players and the fans are excited.

The batsman noted that since the 2017 Champions Trophy, only three or four players have remained from the winning squad while the rest are new. However, the belief, confidence, and performance are the same.

He added that when given responsibility as a senior player, he takes it positively and always tries to perform at his best in every match.

It is worth mentioning that in the 2017 Champions Trophy final, Pakistan, under the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed, defeated India by 180 runs to win the title. Babar Azam played a crucial innings of 46 runs off 52 balls in the final.
