Babar Azam surpasses Rohit Sharma’s all-time T20I record

LAHORE: Pakistani star batsman Babar Azam overtook former India captain Rohit Sharma as the all-time top run scorer in men’s T20 Internationals.

Babar reached the milestone during Pakistan’s second T20 International of the three-match series against South Africa.

The top batsman needed just nine more runs to overtake Sharma’s 4231 total, having started the match with 4223 runs.

Babar Azam scored 11 runs and remained not out as Pakistan easily chased the 111-run target set by South Africa.
