Faf du Plesses Chooses Pakistan Super League over IPL

ISLAMABAD: Former South African captain Faf du Plessis has decided to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) instead of the Indian league IPL.

In a statement released on social media, Faf du Plessis announced that he will not participate in the IPL.

Faf du Plessis has decided to play in the Pakistan Super League as a new challenge.

The former South African captain said that he has decided not to put his name in the IPL auction after 14 seasons.

Faf du Plessis said that India gave a lot of memories, experiences and respect, this is not goodbye, I will come again.

Regarding the PSL, Faf du Plessis said that this year I have decided to take a new challenge, I will play in the upcoming PSL season.

Faf du Plessis said that this is an exciting and new step for me, it is an opportunity for me to do something new and develop as a player, the PSL is full of immense potential and energy.

He added that I am excited to experience a new country, a new environment and a new league, I am also excited for the hospitality of Pakistan, we will meet soon.

It should be noted that 41-year-old South African batsman Faf du Plessis played the last season of the IPL for Delhi Capitals, where he was bought for 20 million Indian rupees.

He has previously played PSL for Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi.
