Hockey World Cup 2026: Pakistan, India drawn in same group

LAHORE: Pakistan and India have been placed in the same group for the Hockey World Cup 2026.

The groups for the event were announced on Tuesday in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

In the men’s competition, Group D includes Pakistan, India, England and Wales, which is expected to be very interesting.

In the women’s competition, the Indian team is also in Group D, where it will face China, England and South Africa.

In the other men’s groups, Group A includes the Netherlands, Argentina, New Zealand and Japan, Group B includes Belgium, Germany, France and Malaysia, while Group C includes Australia, Spain, Ireland and South Africa.

In the women’s competition, Group A includes the Netherlands, Australia, Chile and Japan, Group B includes Argentina, Germany, the United States and Scotland, while Group C includes Belgium, Spain, New Zealand and Ireland.

The 2026 Hockey World Cup will be played in the Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to August 30, while the full match schedule will be released on March 18, 2026.
