ISLAMABAD: Islamabad United registered a convincing win against Karachi Kings during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10. The match was played at the National Bank Cricket Stadium on 20 April 2025. The victory marked Islamabad United’s fourth consecutive win, keeping them unbeaten in the tournament.

Karachi Kings struggled early in their innings and lost wickets frequently. They managed just 128 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Naseem Shah, Jason Holder and Shadab Khan took two wickets each for Islamabad. Imad Wasim took one wicket.

After the match, Imad Wasim courted controversy with his new celebration after dismissing Tim Seifert. His celebration involved jumping and placing one hand on his forehead. Fans criticised his style on social media, calling it a “curse” and comparing it to a “monkey dance”.

Despite the negative attention, Islamabad United are at the top of the 10-point PSL table with eight points. Their next match is against Multan Sultans at the Multan Cricket Stadium on April 23. The team is looking to extend their winning streak while Imad hopes to shake off the criticism.
