India announces squad for three-match ODI series against New Zealand

NEW DELHI: The Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand has been announced.

Shubman Gill will once again take charge as captain while Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as vice-captain subject to fitness clearance. The first match of the ODI series will be played on January 11.

Hardik Pandya has been rested in the 15-member squad and replaced by Mohammad Siraj, who last played an ODI during the tour of Australia.

Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Mohammad Siraj have been included in the squad in place of Tilak Verma, Dhruv Jurel and Raturaj Gaekwad.

Shubman Gill will lead the team in the One squad while Shreyas Iyer (vice-captain subject to fitness) Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Siraj, Harshit Rana, Prasad Krishna, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arsdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal are included.
