SYDENY: Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer, who suffered an injury during the match against Australia, has been discharged from the hospital.

A statement issued by the Indian Cricket Board said that Shreyas Iyer was discharged from the hospital after improving his abdominal and rib injuries.

Shreyas Iyer suffered an injury during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney, after which he was admitted to the hospital.

Earlier, Indian batter and Vice Captain Shreyas Iyer was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to a rib injury while fielding in the third ODI against Australia.

According to Indian media, the injury of the Indian ODI team vice-captain, Shreyas Iyer, is getting serious.

According to the report, Shreyas Iyer suffered internal bleeding, due to which he had to be admitted to the intensive care ward.

Shreyas Iyer has been admitted to the ICU of a Sydney hospital since Saturday.

The Indian Vice Captain will be under the supervision of doctors for two to seven days. Doctors are monitoring him to prevent infection due to internal bleeding.

Shreyas Iyer will return to India only after doctors permit him to travel by air.

Shreyas Iyer’s participation in the home series against South Africa, starting at the end of November, is doubtful.
