DUBAI: The Interim Schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 has been out, with the tournament set to begin on September 30 in India, according to media reports citing cricket sources.

In the opening match, the host India will take on srilanka; however, Pakistan will start the tournament against the Bangladesh team on October 2.

Their second match against India is set three days later on October 5, 2025, in a neutral venue.

However, due to diplomatic tensions, Pakistan’s matches will be held at neutral venues, with Colombo being finalised as their base for the tournament.

Australia and New Zealand will face each other on October 1, while Pakistan’s clash against the Australian side is scheduled for October 8. Other matches in Pakistan’s group stage include encounters with England on October 15, New Zealand on October 18, South Africa on October 21, and Sri Lanka on October 24.

According to the schedule, the first semi-final is likely to be held in either Guwahati or Colombo, with the second to take place in Bengaluru.

The final of the tournament is scheduled for November 2 and may be hosted either in Bengaluru or Colombo, depending on prevailing conditions and logistical considerations.

The ICC is yet to confirm the schedule for the women’s cricket World Cup.
