Iran withdraws its participation from Football World Cup 2026

TEHRAN: Iran has decided not to participate in the FIFA Football World Cup to be held in the United States this year.

Iran has announced a boycott of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held in the United States.

According to Al Jazeera, Iranian Sports Minister Ahmad Donya Mali has announced that Iran cannot participate in the World Cup, after the US martyred our Supreme Leader, we cannot play the World Cup in the United States.

The Iranian Sports Minister said that there is no justification for participating in the World Cup under such circumstances, our children are not safe, and the conditions are not conducive to participating in the World Cup.

It should be noted that the 2026 FIFA World Cup is to be played in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
