KP “Nandraka” youngsters organize one-day cricket tournament in Isb, Col (retd) Tariq Khattak distributes cash prizes & trophies among winners

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s backward area “Nandraka” youngsters organized a one-day cricket tournament in the federal capital Islamabad, Haroon-ur-Rashid team won the final of the tournament while Kifayatullah team was runner-up. Eight teams were participated in the tournament.

The chief guest of the tournament was Colonel (retd) Tariq Khattak who distributed trophies and cash prizes among the winning teams and players.

The tournament was played at The Embassy Road Cricket Ground in the Islamabad. The tournament was organized by the National Press Club Islamabad Manger Kamran Hameed who belongs to Kohat Nandraka.

The final of the tournament was played between the teams of Haroon Rasheed and Kifayatullah, which was won by Haroon-ur-Rashid’s team after a thrilling match.

In the tournament, an exhibition match was also played among the children under the age of 15 years, in which Sahil Khan’s team was the winner, at the end of the tournament, chief guest Colonel Retired Tariq Khattak distributed trophies and cash prizes to the winning teams and the best performing players.

Later, chief guest Colonel (retd) Tariq Khattak greeted the participants of the tournament with Pakistan’s famous dish Saver Food.

On this occasion, the players participating in the tournament said that it is a matter of honor for us that the youth of “Shakardara Nandraka” participated in a big tournament in Islamabad, they also expressed the hope that such a tournament will be organized in the future, which will provide opportunities to the youth of backward areas to express their skills with healthy activities.

At the end of the tournament, Shafiullah, Abdul Hameed, Haroon-ur-Rashid and Aamir Imran presented an honorary shield to Colonel (retd) Tariq Khattak as the chief guest.
