Netherlands Beat Namibia by 7 Wickets for First T20 World Cup Win

NEW DELHI: The Netherlands defeated Namibia by 7 wickets in the group match of the ICC T20 World Cup to win its first victory.

In the Group A match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, the Netherlands won the toss and invited Namibia to bat first, and Namibia scored 156 for 8.

John Nickle was the prominent batsman for Namibia, who scored 42 runs in 38 balls with the help of 2 sixes and a four.

Chasing a target of 157 runs, the Netherlands team won the match in the 18th over itself. Bess played a prominent innings of 72 runs in 48 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes, and played a major role in the team’s victory.

The next match in the event will be between New Zealand and the UAE today, and then in the evening, the teams of Pakistan and the USA will face off.
