New Zealand defeats Pakistan by 84 runs to win ODI series

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s top and middle order collapsed in the second ODI of the three-match series in Hamilton on Wednesday as they chased down New Zealand‘s target of 293.

Team Green lost six wickets for just 64 runs as no batsman could reach double figures in 20 overs. Openers Abdullah Shafiq and Imam-ul-Haq were dismissed for one and three respectively.

Former captain Babar Azam was dismissed for one while Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed for five for 27 by Ben Sears. Jacob Duffy and Sears took two wickets each.

Earlier, Mitchell Hay’s unbeaten 99 helped New Zealand post 292 for eight in the match. He hit seven fours and as many sixes in his brilliant innings.
