In the match played in Rawalpindi, Pakistan won the toss against Australia and decided to field first.
The entire Australian team was dismissed for 200 runs in the 45th over against Pakistan.
For Australia, Matthew Ranshaw scored 61 runs, Matthew Short scored 55 runs. Matthew Cohenman played an innings of 24 runs.
Arafat Minhas, who made his debut for Pakistan, took 5 wickets for 32 runs.
In addition, Abrar Ahmed took 2, while captain Shaheen Afridi, Salman Agha and Haris Rauf took one wicket each.
Pakistan achieved the target of 201 runs in the 43rd over for the loss of 5 wickets.
Babar Azam and Ghazi Ghauri stood out for Pakistan by scoring 69 and 65 runs respectively. Apart from them, Sahibzada Farhan scored 28 and Arafat Minhas scored 18 runs.
Pakistan has taken a one-nil lead in the three-match series. The second ODI of the series will be played in Lahore on June 2.
