Pak vs Ban: Second Test toss delayed due to heavy rain

RAWALPINDI: The highly anticipated second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh has been postponed due to persistent rain and unfavorable weather conditions at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Initially scheduled to begin on August 30, the match will now have its next toss update at 12:00 PM (PST).

Following a shocking defeat in the first Test, Pakistan is eager to level the series but faces a new challenge with the weather. The team’s strategies, including their pace attack, declaration timing, and batting performance, have been scrutinized after the loss.

Pakistan aims to bounce back from their first-ever defeat to Bangladesh, which occurred when their batting order collapsed against spinners on the final day, allowing Bangladesh to secure a historic win. Mir Hamza has replaced fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi in the twelve-member squad.

Bangladesh Squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Kumar Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed, Syed Khaled Ahmed.
