Pak vs SL: Sri Lanka beats Pakistan in close contest to reach tri-series final

RAWALPINDI: Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 6 runs to reach the final of the tri-nation T20.

Sri Lanka had set a target of 185 runs for victory in the T20 tri-series match against Pakistan, in response to which the national team could score 178 runs for 7 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

Captain Salman Ali Agha was the top scorer with 63 runs, while Usman Khan scored 33 runs. Dashmantha Chimera took 4 wickets. He gave 2 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier, Pakistan had won the toss and decided to field first. Sri Lanka scored 184 runs for 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Sri Lankan batter Kamil Mishra was the top scorer with 76. Kushal Mendis was dismissed for 40 runs.

Abrar Ahmed took 2 wickets, and Saim Ayub and Salman Mirza took one wicket each.

The national team has already made it to the final after 3 consecutive victories. The final match will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on Saturday.
