ISLAMABAD: An ICC delegation is reaching Pakistan in a few hours on the issue of Pakistan’s boycott of the match with India in the T20 World Cup.
According to sources, the delegation is reaching Lahore under the leadership of the Deputy Chairman ICC. After the arrival of the ICC delegation and the BCB delegation, an important meeting of the International Cricket Council will be held.
Sources say that the situation arising after the boycott of Pakistan will be discussed in the meeting. Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam has also reached Lahore.
Sources say that the ICC delegation and the BCB President will return today after the meeting.
According to sources, the ICC delegation will reach Lahore from Colombo at 4:30 pm.
It should be noted that Pakistan has announced to participate in the T20 World Cup but not to play a match against India.
According to sources, there are several reasons for the decision not to play the match against India on February 15, but the ICC’s biased decision regarding Bangladesh is central. The Pakistani government wanted to show solidarity with Bangladesh on this issue.
