Pakistan Street Child Football team makes history in mexico, Secures third position in World Cup

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Street Child Football Team delivered an outstanding performance at the Street Child Football World Cup held in Mexico, securing an impressive third position and bringing pride to the nation.

The young players showcased exceptional talent, determination, and teamwork, highlighting a positive image of Pakistan on the global stage. Throughout the tournament, Pakistan competed fiercely against strong international teams. In the semi-final, Pakistan faced defending champions Brazil in a thrilling contest. Despite a spirited performance and giving Brazil a tough time, Pakistan narrowly lost the match 2-1. The team’s effort, however, was widely appreciated by spectators and analysts alike.

Team captain Kashif Shinwari emerged as the tournament’s top goal scorer, a remarkable achievement that reflects his consistency, skill, and leadership on the field. His outstanding performance played a crucial role in Pakistan’s success throughout the competition.

The team’s journey was strongly supported by the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP). Chairman Rana Mashhood provided continuous encouragement and backing, which significantly contributed to the team’s confidence and performance. Congratulating the players, Rana Mashhood stated that these young athletes are a valuable asset to the country and a source of inspiration for youth nationwide.

This achievement is not only a milestone in sports but also a powerful message of hope for street children, proving that with the right opportunities and support, they can excel at international platforms. The Pakistan Street Child Football Team is scheduled to arrive back in Pakistan on the evening of May 17, where a warm and enthusiastic (welcome) is expected from the nation to honor their historic accomplishment.
