Pakistan sweeps Bangladesh with 7-wicket win in T20 series

LAHORE: In the final match of the three-match T20 series, Pakistan swept Bangladesh by 7 wickets.

In the match played in Lahore, Pakistan won the toss and decided to field.

Bangladesh, batting first, scored 196 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Bangladesh got off to a great start, with Parvez Hussain and Tanzeed Hasan laying a very solid foundation of 110 runs. Tanzeed got out for 42 and Parvez for 66 runs, but the batsmen who came after him could not make a big score.

Liton Das scored 22 and Tohid Hari Doy 25 runs, Bangladesh’s score remained 196 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

For Pakistan, Hasan Ali took 2 wickets for 38 runs, Abbas Afridi took two wickets for 26 runs.

Chasing 197 runs, Sahibzada Farhan was out in the first over, but then Muhammad Haris added runs with Saim Ayub, Saim hit four sixes and scored 45 runs off 29 balls.

Then Hassan Nawaz came and he also scored 26 runs off 13 balls. On the other hand, Muhammad Haris kept hitting sixes and fours and kept adding runs. Haris scored the first century of his career, becoming the first batsman to score a century in T20Is, apart from openers, for Pakistan.

Pakistan achieved the target in the eighteenth over for three wickets and completed a clean sweep in the three-match series. Muhammad Haris remained not out on 107 runs and Salman Agha on 15 runs.
