COLOMBO: The first match of the 3-match T20I series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played in Dambulla at 7 pm today.
Pakistani team captain Salman Ali Agha has expressed the team’s high morale for the series against Sri Lanka.
During a press conference in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, he said that the players will try their best to perform well and hope that the results will also be positive.
The captain added that it will be useful for the team to get used to the weather and match conditions of Sri Lanka before the World Cup.
The 3-match T20I series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played in Dambulla on January 7, 9, and 11.
However, a note to thrill is accompanied by a concern as the constant rains just didn’t allow the Pakistan cricket team to practice on Tuesday, let alone amid speculations of the storm spicing up the series.
Forecasts are hinting towards mildly cool weather, with a temperature of 22°C, a RealFeel of 21°C, and humidity levels at 73%.
The heavy atmosphere is due to a cloudy sky, while winds from a north-easterly direction, ranging from 20 to 32 km/h, would give a rough edge to the proceedings.
Visibility is clear at a range of 11 km, but fog levels are nil, while air quality is also poor.
It may be recalled that intermittent rains had been falling in Dambulla for the last 3 days.
