Pakistan withdraws from Junior Hockey World Cup in India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has withdrawn from the Junior Hockey World Cup to be held in India.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation has informed the International Hockey Federation (FIH) of its non-participation in the Junior Hockey World Cup.

Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation, Rana Mujahid, has given the FIH the option of a neutral venue for Pakistan’s matches.

According to Rana Mujahid, it is not appropriate to go and play in India under these conditions. The Junior Hockey World Cup will begin in India on November 28 and will continue till December 11.

It should be noted that earlier, the Pakistan hockey team also did not go to India to play the Asia Cup.
