Pakistan’s trio advance to knockouts in Asian 6-Red Snooker Championship

COLOMBO: Pakistani cueists on top as all three players participating in the Asian 6 Red Championship have made their way to the pre-quarterfinals stage.

The championship, featuring 32 players from 13 nations divided into eight groups, commenced in Colombo. Each player will contest three matches in the league round, with the top two from each group advancing to the pre-quarterfinals.

Owais Munir won his third match and reached the pre-quarters. Owais Munir defeated India’s Pushpinder Singh 2-4 to make it to the knockout stage, while Muhammad Asif defeated Oman’s Abdullah Raisi 0-4.

Muhammad Asif managed to enter the pre-quarterfinals despite losing 4-3 to Sri Lanka’s Irshat Muhammad Taha in the next match.

Former Asian champion Muhammad Sajjad defeated Sri Lanka’s Muhammad Musharraf 0-4 in his second match.
