PCB denies loss from Champions Trophy 2025, confirms profit of Rs 3 billion

LAHORE: PCB Chairman’s Advisor Aamir Mir has clarified that the board did not suffer any loss from holding the Champions Trophy, ICC had a budget of $70 million for the Champions Trophy 2025.

While holding a press conference in Lahore along with PCB CFO Javed Murtaza, PCB Chairman’s Advisor Aamir Mir said that the board did not suffer any loss from holding the Champions Trophy, ICC had a budget of $70 million for the Champions Trophy.

Aamir Mir said that the board did not spend any money, Champions Trophy was an ICC event, news of loss to the Pakistan Cricket Board is baseless.

Advisor Chairman PCB said that the Indian media keeps propagandizing against Pakistan, it is necessary to state the facts to expose India’s propaganda, the board’s assets increased after Mohsin Naqvi came.

On this occasion, Pakistan Cricket Board CFO Javed Murtaza told a news conference that the Pakistan Cricket Board did not suffer any financial loss, the board has an estimated profit of three billion.

Javed Murtaza said that Pakistan has proven that we can organize any big event, the PCB successfully organized the Champions Trophy.
