LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally removed the provisional suspension imposed on batter Haider Ali, and he is fit to return to cricket. Haider Ali will soon represent his side in the Bangladesh Premier League scheduled within the next month.

Haider had been sidelined from all forms of competitive cricket after he had been accused of rape while on a tour with the Pakistan Shaheens in Manchester. The PCB had put Haider on suspension until the issue was finalized.

The case finally closed on September 25th, when an announcement came from the police of Manchester that there was no evidence to support any charge against Haider.

After receiving approval, Haider Ali received an NOC from the PCB to participate in BPL, and he will be joined there by some Pakistani national players. These include Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, Sahibzada Farhan, Faheem Ashraf, Hussain Talat, Khawaja Nafay, and Ihsanullah.

Haider has previously represented Pakistan in 35 Twenty20 Internationals and two ODIs. The young batsman was snapped up by Noakhali Express in the BPL player auction. Haider will be joined by fellow countryman and express pacer Ihsanullah.
