KARACHI:  The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has postponed several domestic cricket tournaments due to the prevailing security situation in the country, according to media reports.

According to the PCB, the President’s Trophy Grade, the Regional Intra-District Challenge Cup, and the Inter-District U19 One-Day Tournament have all been suspended with immediate effect.

The board announced that the tournament will resume from the same stage as the current situation improves..

Meanwhile, the media reports claimed that the National Women’s T20 Tournament presently being hosted in Karachi will continue as scheduled. The decision was taken since the whole women’s tournament is held in a single location, lowering logistical and security hazards.

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had postponed the remaining eight matches of the 10th edition of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL). The decision comes in light of the recent increase in tensions between India and Pakistan.

Yesterday, the PCB announced that the remaining PSL matches would take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), due to concerns regarding the war between India and Pakistan escalating.
