PSL 10: Peshawar Zalmi beats Lahore Qalanders by 7 wickets

LAHORE: In a commanding performance, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Lahore Qalandars by seven wickets, chasing down the target of 130 runs with ease in the 17th over of PSL’s 14th Match in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Lahore Qalandars, batting first, were restricted to 129 runs in 19.2 overs. Despite a shaky start, Sikandar Raza anchored the innings with a solid 52 off 37 balls, while Shaheen Afridi added a quick 16 off 10.

For Zalmi, Alzarri Joseph impressed with the ball, picking up 3 wickets, while Luke Wood and Talat shared 2 wickets each to rattle Lahore’s lineup.

In response, Peshawar Zalmi made the chase look easy. Babar Azam led from the front with a classy 56 off 42 balls, well-supported by Hussain Talat, who struck an unbeaten 51 off 37 to guide his teamto victory comfortably.

Shaheen Afridi managed to take 2 wickets, and Haris Rauf chipped in with one, but the total proved too little for Lahore’s bowlers to defend.
