PSL 11 captains have been officially confirmed as teams prepare for the start of the 2026 Pakistan Super League. The announcement comes just days before the tournament begins in Lahore.
Franchises have selected a mix of experienced Pakistani stars and international players to lead their squads this season. The PSL 11 captains will guide their teams during a competitive tournament scheduled to run for more than a month.
The following players have been named as PSL 11 captains for their respective teams:
Shadab Khan – Islamabad United
Shaheen Afridi – Lahore Qalandars
David Warner – Karachi Kings
Babar Azam – Peshawar Zalmi
Saud Shakeel – Quetta Gladiators
Ashton Turner – Multan Sultans
Mohammad Rizwan – Pindiz
Hammad Azam – Hyderabad Kingsmen
These PSL 11 captains are expected to play a key role in leading their teams during the group stage and the playoffs.
The 2026 Pakistan Super League will start on 26 March in Lahore. The opening match will feature defending champions Lahore Qalandars against Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.
The tournament will run for 39 days and include 44 matches. The final is scheduled for 3 May at Gaddafi Stadium, while 4 May has been reserved as a backup day if required.
PSL matches will take place in several major cities across Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Peshawar.
This season is notable because Faisalabad and Peshawar will host Pakistan Super League matches for the first time.
PSL 11 tickets will go on sale starting tomorrow. Fans will be able to purchase tickets online through the tournament’s official ticketing partner.
Each team will play 10 matches in the group stage. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs before the final showdown in Lahore.
