KARACHI: Karachi Kings’ Aamir Jamal has been fined 5% of his match fee for a Level 1 violation of the PSL’s code of conduct during their encounter against Peshawar Zalmi on Monday night at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
Aamir was judged to have broken Article 2.5 of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct, which states: “Using language, actions, or gestures that disparage or could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during a match”.
The incident occurred in the 15th over of the first innings, when after dismissing Hussain, Aamir approached the batsman and made a comment.
Aamir pleaded guilty to the accusations and agreed to the sentence imposed by match referee Iftikhar Ahmed.
The charges were imposed by on-field umpires Faisal Khan Aafreedi and Paul Reiffel.
However, Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by two wickets in a thrilling last-over match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at the National Stadium on Monday.
The highlights of Kings’ nerve-wracking finale were David Warner’s cool half-century and Khushdil Shah’s all-around heroics.
