ISLAMABAD: The official anthem for the much-anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 has been released, setting the stage for an exhilarating cricket season ahead. Featuring the renowned voices of singers Ali Zafar and Aima Baig, the anthem titled ‘Khul Ke Khel’ promises to ignite the passion and excitement of cricket enthusiasts across the nation.
For Ali Zafar, this marks his fourth contribution to the prestigious cricket league, having previously lent his vocals to anthems for the first three editions. His return, alongside the talented Aima Baig, ensures a dynamic and captivating musical experience for fans.
Aima Baig, who has also been part of PSL anthems in 2021 and 2022, brings her unique flair and charm to ‘Khul Ke Khel’, adding to the anthem’s appeal and vibrancy.
With the release of the anthem, anticipation for the PSL 9 tournament, scheduled to kick off on February 17 in Lahore, has reached fever pitch. The opening match between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United promises to set the tone for an action-packed season.
A total of six teams will compete in the 34-match T20I tournament, with each team vying for the coveted title. Led by captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, Lahore Qalandars will be aiming to make history by clinching the championship for the third time, adding to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the tournament.
